Soc-demo statistics and limit for real users

We are excited to introduce brand-new socio-demographic statistics as well as information on audience duplication on different devices for your AdOcean campaigns! You will now be able not only to check how your campaign performed in different target groups, but also to plan a campaign according to demographic data. This functionality is currently available on the Polish and Hungarian markets.

New possibilities in campaign settings include:

  • setting the maximum number of Real Users that the campaign will reach,
  • setting the maximum number of women that the campaign will reach,
  • setting the maximum number of men that the campaign will reach.

In order to add such a setting, go to the campaign's or order's limits and choose the real users statistic.

The minimum value of this setting is 200.000, no matter if you specify the gender or not. Limit can be set in campaigns that are no longer than 90 days.

AdOcean's new capabilities are based on Gemius' original solution. Thanks to that, the statistics of selected campaigns might be extended with the data on:

  • the gender of the users the campaign has reached,
  • the age of the users the campaign has reached,
  • a coverage build curve based on Real Users,
  • GRP value for the campaign,
  • traffic division on PC and mobile and audience duplication for these platforms,
  • frequency of contact with the campaign,
  • traffic division per placement - that is, reach built by each of the placements,
  • new users who have contact with the campaign day by day.

What's more, all data is calculated not only for the "Total" group, but also for custom target groups.

In order to get more information about new statistics and possibilities to launch them on another markets, please contact your Account Manager.

Auction refresh in Prebid template

Increasing popularity of the Prebid template solution resulted in adding a new option of refreshing the Prebid auction. There are 4 new parameters available in the Prebid template to define the refresh properties:

  • Time-out [s] - defines how often the auction will be refreshed (in seconds),
  • Event - specifies the trigger for refreshing the auction:
    • None (auction is refreshed after the specified time-out) - auction will be refreshed cyclically in time intervals specified in the time-out parameter. Minimum time-out is 30 seconds.
    • Viewability (creative is present in the browser's viewport for a specified time) - auction will be refreshed cyclically if at least 50% of the current creative's surface is present in the browser's viewport for the time specified in the time-out parameter. Minimum time-out is 10 seconds.
    • Leaving the viewport (time-out after last presence in the browser's viewport) - auction will be refreshed cyclically if the current creative was present in the browser's viewport but has left it and is not in the viewport anymore for the time specified in the time-out parameter. Minimum time-out is 5 seconds.
  • Maximum number of refreshes - defines how many times the auction could be refreshed,
  • If the ad server wins [after the auction is refreshed] - alternative creative is chosen once, only auction is being refreshed. As a result, same offer from the ad server competes with all auctions. This parameter describes when the alternative creative should be displayed if it was chosen over the offer from the auction:
    • Always display an offer from the ad server - alternative creative will be displayed every time it has won with the offer from the auction. Each display results in calculating an impression of the alternative creative. Especially, if the auction is refreshed 10 times and the ad server wins 10 times, the alternative creative gets +10 impressions.
    • Display only if the currently displayed ad does not come from the ad server - if currently displayed creative comes from the auction and the ad server wins, the alternative creative will be displayed and an impression for it will be counted. If currently displayed creative comes from the ad server and the ad server wins again, the creative is not refreshed and no extra impression is being counted.
    • Keep displaying the previous ad - means that the alternative creative can be displayed only once, during the first impression. If an offer from the auction refresh wins, it will be displayed. If the ad server wins after the auction refresh, the previous ad will not be overwritten.
